Good for flush mounting on finished walls.

Screw the supplied screws into the wall making sure that the heads stick out enough to grab the lip inside the back of the beam inside the groove-out section. The mantel then just slips onto the screws and sits there solidly. Make sure the heads are well adjusted as to be grabbing the lip evenly for all the screws. This system can be used with a spacer board on walls receiving stone or brick, with the spacer board being the same thickness (or just a little thinner) as the stone/brick.
