Until recently, we were able to ship our products to the United States duty-free under USMCA with consistency. Changes in trade enforcement and customs interpretation have made this less predictable, and we can no longer guarantee duty-free treatment on all shipments.

We ship several different product categories, each classified under its appropriate Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code:

• Chandeliers and lighting fixtures are classified under HTS 9405, which is generally duty-free under USMCA when manufactured in Canada.
  
• Furniture items such as tables or benches are classified under HTS 9403 and may be subject to U.S. import duties depending on current tariff measures.
  
• Fireplace mantels are documented as decorative, non-structural wood articles and classified separately from furniture. Despite correct classification and complete USMCA documentation, U.S. Customs and Border Protection may reclassify certain shipments at their discretion and apply duties.
  

Any duties or fees assessed are determined by U.S. Customs and the carrier and are charged to the importer. These charges are outside of our control.

We remain fully compliant and transparent, but due to evolving policies and enforcement, duty-free treatment can no longer be guaranteed for all U.S. orders. If avoiding potential customs charges is important to you, please contact us before ordering or consider purchasing from a local U.S. supplier.
